School Improvement Priorities 2022-24
Where we are heading

1. OUR QUALITY OF EDUCATION: 

Intent - Curriculum:  

a. To plan and provide a rich, broad, balanced, inclusive and ambitious curriculum where knowledge and skills are clearly mapped for progression.   

b. To plan for the provision of enrichment opportunities that enable children to thrive.   

Implementation - Teaching and Learning, Development:  

c. To ensure specialist staff are allocated to support children who need to catch up in early reading. 

d. To ensure assessment is regular and effective in identifying gaps, implementing interventions, applying stretch and challenge to enable all children to progress. 

Impact - Outcomes:

3. OUR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: 

a. To ensure robust safeguarding procedures (including online safety) are fully established and all staff are trained effectively to meet their Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) responsibilities. 

b. To provide a safe environment that promotes equity, social justice, and emotional and mental well-being for all. 

4. OUR LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT:  

a. To develop a strategic School Improvement Plan with staff and governors that communicates a coherent and realistic school vision to the community. 

b. To establish a robust appraisal system linked to school improvement, professional development, and Teachers’ Standards. 

c. To develop and support Senior and Middle Leaders in their roles and responsibilities so they are enabled to improve outcomes for all pupils and increase the proportion of those achieving and exceeding the national standards.

d. To improve communications and transparency with families to engage parents, build trust and improve the school’s reputation.

e. To develop our partnerships with parents, the community, local authority and other schools.
